Ce site archive plusieurs textes universitaires sur l’apprentissage parus dans la défunte revue qui portait le même nom (i.e. New Horizons for Learning Quarterly Journal) et réunit de nombreuses ressources et recommandations de lectures. Malgré la fin du projet, le site est maintenant hébergé par la Johns Hopkins Graduate School of Education et tous les numéros de la revue de 1995 à 2006 peuvent y être consultés.
L’organisation de l’information est particulièrement intéressante, notamment dans la section « Lifelong Learning » où les textes sont répartis en cinq sous-sections: Early childhood /Parenting, Learning in Adolescence, Higher Education, Learning in the Workplace, et Learning in the Senior Years. We have done so through our conferences, workshops, consulting, publications, and since 1995 through our website that now receives around eight million hits a month. Our website is used by teachers, school administrators, professors and students of education, parents, policy makers, and media professionals. It has received numerous awards, including the most recent from the International Society for Technology in Education as one of the best education sites on the Internet.
After 26 years of voluntary service as a non-profit network, New Horizons for Learning has retired, but our website will remain accessible as long as possible.
